Aliens and Algebra
Welcome to Aliens and Algebra!
Let's learn math with a cute little friend!
Each time you touch the blinking box, a new basic algebra problem will appear. Click inside the lower box beside the '>>>' and give your answer! (The cursor will be automatic in later update)
Answer the questions correctly and the bridge will fall. If you fail, you lose one heart. (This is for later elements that will be implemented).
This game was created for the inaugural Gam [3] Jam hosted by N3rkmind and b3agz, two great Game Devs. There were two aspects to the jam submission: Challenge and Theme.
- CHALLENGE: In the pursuit of knowledge, your submission must impart some form of learning to the player—any subject matter is fair game. During submission, you will be required to specify the educational element your game conveys.
Fairly sure my educational element is clear, but just in case, MATH! More specifically early algebra.
- THEME: Learn From Failure
While not visible if you get all the questions right, if you get an answer wrong, a box will pop up with instructions on how to solve it. This allows for learning of how to solve these types of problems.

KNOWN BUGS:
- jumping on the box causes multiple problem windows to open as a stack
- window mode is showing different in different browsers and monitor size
